Welcome to my world of teaching at Pottsboro High School. I teach English IV and Yearbook I, II and III. In English IV we strive to enhance communication skills through reading, writing, literature, grammar and research. In Yearbook we create the district's yearbooks while learning about journalism and technology in the world of desktop publishing. Hopefully, both areas will advance my students’ future educational and career pursuits. The business world ranks communication as the top skill necessary to be successful in the workplace. Therefore, each day is an opportunity to provide students with the essential and advanced skills that English can provide, thus making a great difference in their lives.

WELCOME TO MY WORLD
Hi, I am Charlotte Strahan. I grew up in northwestern Oklahoma on a farm near Loyal. Later, I graduated from Lomega High School and the University of Central Oklahoma. I am married to my husband, Jim, and we have three children, Casey, Shelli, and Katelyn. Casey is married to Shantill and they have two daughters, Morgan and Macy.  Casey teaches Algebra and Geometry and coaches H.S. Boy's Basketball at Shidler High School in Oklahoma.  Shantill works as a teacher in the 4yr. old program.  Shelli is married to Chris and they have a daughter, Addison, and a son, Tucker. Shelli is the Minister of Children at Georgetown Baptist  Church and Chris works for Multimedia Games.  Katelyn is a junior at the University of North Texas where she is majoring in education and enjoying Pi Delta Phi. I enjoy attending church at Georgetown Baptist with lots of great people who call Pottsboro their home. My hobbies include being “GiGi,” playing the piano, reading, gardening, and enjoying time with friends. I am looking forward to experiencing this great year of 2009-2010.
