Dear Parent or Guardian:
To be successful, a child's education must be an equal partnership between the student, parent, and school. The critical element of such a relationship is communication. With that in mind I have put together a short explanation of course goals, expectations, and policies. Please take a few moments to look them over.
The goals for this class are based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). The learning goals are as follows: 1. The student will communicate in languages other than English. 2. The student will gain knowledge and understanding of other cultures. 3. The student will learn the differences among the Spanish speaking cultures and compare these differences to their own. 4. The student will use the Spanish language both within and beyond the school setting.
My expectations are for the student to be able to communicate with native speakers’ of Spanish, understand each culture that will be studied, and obtain a passion to broaden his/her knowledge of the Spanish language.
My policies are as follows: 1. Respect teacher, fellow classmates, and yourself. 2. Attend to personal needs before coming to class. 3. Arrive on time to class, and be prepared to learn.

Ser acertada, la educación de un niño debe ser una sociedad igual entre el estudiante, el padre, y la escuela. El elemento crítico de una relación es comunicación. Con ésa en mente he puesto juntas metas cortas, expectativas, y políticas de una explicación por supuesto. Por favor, tome algunos momentos para mirarlos encima.
Las metas para esta clase se basan en el conocimiento y las habilidades esenciales (TEKS) de Tejas. Las metas que aprenden son como sigue: 1. El estudiante se comunicará en idiomas con excepción de inglés. 2. El estudiante ganará conocimiento y entender de otras culturas. 3. El estudiante aprenderá las diferencias entre las culturas de habla hispana y comparará estas diferencias sus las propias. 4. El estudiante utilizará la lengua española dentro y más allá del ajuste de la escuela.
Mis expectativas están para que el estudiante pueda comunicarse con los nativos' del español, entienden cada cultura que sea estudiada, y obtienen una pasión para ensanchar su conocimiento de la lengua española.
Mis políticas son como sigue: 1. Respete al profesor, a los estudiantes del compañero, y a usted mismo. 2. Atienda a las necesidades personales antes de venir a la clase. 3. Llegue el hora de clasificar, y esté preparado para aprender.
